HOOFCOUNT – Multi-Bath

Hoofcount is launching at Dairy-Tech a system enabling producers to cost effectively invest in and run up to five individual automated footbaths from one control box.

Hoofcount Multi-Bath – a central control box monitors and controls each bath while the system features a valve unit installed alongside each footbath to control and correctly dose with chemical solution and enable it to run independently. The footbath solution can be stored in one central location. Each footbath can be monitored and controlled via a mobile app.

Hoofcount’s Anthony Marsh explains: “We originally designed the Hoofcount Multi-Bath system for North American farms with significantly larger herds and where distances between baths and chemical store are much greater than relatively smaller UK farms.

“However with the trend towards larger UK dairy units and multiple automated milking systems, plus the fact producers are adopting a whole herd approach towards footbathing to control digital dermatitis, this system enables farmers to cost effectively invest in just one control box to manage up to five footbaths installed on the farm.”
