Environmentally Friendly Footbath Solutions

Hoofcount launches new business offering environmentally friendly footbath solutions

Automated footbath specialist, Hoofcount is launching at Dairy-Tech a new venture called Hoofcount Solutions developing and supplying footbath liquid products to complement its existing range with a special focus on non-formaldehyde and non-heavy metal chemical formulations.

Debuting Hoofcount Solutions range is HCS Sanihoof, a blend of acids and surfactants to give effective hoof cleaning while maintaining a low pH footbath. The solution is user friendly, cow friendly and an environmentally friendly product available at a lower cost than other available organic acidic chemicals, comments Hoofcount Solutions’ Anthony Marsh.

“We are pleased to introduce a new business arm supplying disinfectants to meet a range of demands and requirements,” he says. “Sanihoof, our first product, can be used alongside other digital dermatitis treatment chemicals to keep hooves cleaner, it will ensure any other products can be a lot more effective and it is a cost-effective step in the right direction to reduce the use of formaldehydes and heavy metals in controlling lameness.”
