Dr Patience Palmer, Program Manager (Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network)

Dr Palmer is a Project Manager with over three years of experience at CAAIN, specializing in programs in agri-tech innovation and sustainable livestock production. She holds a Ph.D. in Animal Science from the University of Alberta and previously worked with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Patience leads funding programs and has experience in international collaborations, driving research and technology adoption to strengthen Canada’s agri-food sector. Her expertise spans program design and delivery, stakeholder engagement, and advancing solutions for efficient, sustainable agriculture. Passionate about innovation, Patience represents Canadian interests, fostering partnerships, including global partnerships, that accelerate progress in controlled environments, automation and robotics, advanced sensors, and AI-driven systems.
