Chair – Dr Bethan John, Animal Health Specialist (UK Agri-Tech Centre)

Dr John is a bioveterinary scientist specializing in livestock health and welfare, with expertise in ruminant parasitology. Within the UK Agri-Tech Centre’s Innovation Team, she leads research initiatives addressing One Health challenges – integrating the health of humans, ecosystems, and animals. Her research leads advancements in penside diagnostics and preventative medicine strategies, driving responsible antimicrobial usage in farmed animals and Agri-Tech adoption across the supply chain. She is also a visiting lecturer at Hartpury University, contributing to the Animal Welfare, Policy, and Legislation Master’s programme, and serves as a steering group member for Control Of Worms Sustainably (COWS), an initiative promoting responsible parasite control in the UK’s beef and dairy sectors.
