Antler Bio
Epiherd from Antler Bio helps dairy farmers identify and address factors limiting the herds true potential. We blend gene expression data with actionable insights to unlock the genetic and functional capabilities of the herd.
Through RNA testing of the blood of only 10% of the cattle in a herd, we measure over 27,000 genes and more than 15,000 metabolic pathways to assess what the gene expression levels are. We then give insights and action through the epiherd platform to enable these genes to be reactivated.
Farmers receive a report with a range of broad and varied insights, tailored to their herd from the environment, handling, stress markers, disease resistance and inputs from feed and supplements and much more
The benefit to reactivating genes are multifaceted, from healthier cows with vastly improved longevity, more productive and efficient via increase in volume and quality of milk, improved disease resistance from mastitis and lameness along with metabolic disorders and others.
