A world first plasma unit that reduces dairy emissions and generates nitrogen on farm. The system uses electricity, slurry and air to create an enhanced nitrogen slurry with no methane emissions, 90% reduction in ammonia emissions and a doubling of nitrogen content. Housed within a 20ft container the unit will fix nitrogen from air and absorb that into existing slurry on farm. The slurry will benefit from at least a doubling of nitrogen, but also acidification to lock in emissions. Studies in 2020 showed the technology can reduce a dairy farms carbon footprint by up to 27% whilst increasing production in yield and quality from grassland. The plasma treated slurry can be spread and handled with existing farm infrastructure and equipment.
