The Haybuster H800 has been developed by Duratech Industries, North Dakota to provide a tub grinder suitable for individual farms who would like the option of processing their own straw, hay and cereals for feeding in their dairy and beef rations.
For 50 years Haybuster have supplied a range of tub grinders with outputs from 8 to 30 t per hour when straw grinding. The H800 is a lower cost and lower output unit, however it uses the well proven hammer and screen process of grinding which produces a short, consistent chop length like the larger Haybuster tub grinders.
Unlike the larger models, the H800 uses a blower to dispense the milled material rather than a conveyor. This blower has hydraulic adjustment vertically and 360 degree rotation for ease of feed placement, while also allowing the machine to be used for bedding purposes.
There are numerous screen sizes available, and these can be changed in a matter of minutes from outside of the machine to produce the desired chop length.
Power requirement for the H800 is 100Hp and the unit is priced at £31,500 from Enegis ltd who are the UK and Ireland distributor for Haybuster.
